Are You Getting Enough Vitamin D?

Are You Getting Enough Vitamin D?

According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), one in four adults over the age of 60 years old experience Vitamin D deficiency, posing more health problems. As we get older, our bodies struggle to produce and process enough Vitamin D for ourselves. In addition, older adults tend to stay indoors more which prevents them from absorbing Vitamin D from the sun rays.

We need Vitamin D because it helps us maintain strong bones, reduce heart disease & diabetes risks, and improve cognition, mobility & mood.

If you’re not getting enough Vitamin D, we recommend you see your doctor to see if a diet change, a lifestyle change, or supplements may help.
