According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), one in four adults over the age of 60 years old experience Vitamin D deficiency, posing more health problems. As we get older, our bodies struggle to produce and process enough Vitamin D for ourselves. In addition, older adults tend to stay indoors more which prevents them from absorbing Vitamin D from the sun rays.

We need Vitamin D because it helps us maintain strong bones, reduce heart disease & diabetes risks, and improve cognition, mobility & mood.   If you’re not getting enough Vitamin D, we recommend you see your doctor to see if a diet change, a lifestyle change, or supplements may help.
